Joe Montini holds a Masters degree in Jazz/Commercial music from Manhattan School of Music.

John Purcell, a member of the World Saxophone Quartet and sound designer for the recordings of saxophonist David Sanborn says:

"Joe Montini's saxophone sound is the culmination of many years of saxophone study in which he has developed a truly original sax sound. He captures the rich, full, dark, focused tone which he developed throughout the years. This sound involves maximum saxophone vibration enabling Joey to be emotionally and physically one with his horn."

Joe Montini has gigged with Frankie Avalon, Clark Terry, Oliver Lake, but his performance with Dizzy Gillespie on the Merv Griffin show in 1980 is his most memorable gig.

Joe loves the way Sonny Rollins plays sax and also likes Michael Brecker and Wayne Shorter.

Joe is currently playing with the Royal Scam (Steely Dan Tribute) and now with the Gino Vannelli tribute band.
